Ibiza: The Amazing Island

Being the musical center of the best electronic music 4 months per year, it's not a surprise that Ibiza has been a key element to fame and success for many many of the tracks that we can hear on the dancefloors around the world. It's also the scenario for parties like Renaissance, Manumission, Home@Space, Hed Kandi and Matinee, just to say some -and it has launched to fame djs and producers like David Guetta, Swedish House Mafia, Erick Prydz, Axwell, Deadmau5, Steve Angello, Tiesto, and many others. What's IN on Ibiza it's going to be IN everywhere.
This session is inspired on the top tracks from clubs and parties on this summer on Ibiza. As a new improve to my sets, you can now skip and navigate tracks on the set as well as find the list of tracks and go to your favorite anytime. The covert art is from David Cantero, a talented spanish artist, (www.davidcantero.com) who among his many successful projects, is the artist for the covers and ads for Matinee Group.. Musica Del Futuro (demo set)

Este año que viene he decidido tomar mas enserio la musica. El cambio mas significativo sera la manera de hacer las mezclas. A partir de ahora utilizare una consola Numark que trabaja con la Mac. Este set es el que uso este final de año como demo set. El nombre esta basado en un track del nuevo y muy recomendable disco de Jose Spinnin. La musica? house, dance, disco, tech y progressive. La fiesta? Espero verlos este fin de año en la fiesta en Oscar's Vallarta. Estare encargado de cerrar la noche. Este set tambien tiene una dedicatoria muy especial para Davic..

Este set esta basado en los tracks producidos por dj Tiësto que usa en su Kaleidoscope World Tour. Solo decidi incluir un track que no es de el pero que usa en su repertorio. Acerca de la gira creo que es muy buena. Se me hace algo muy bueno que ya no basa sus sets en musica trance si no en varios generos, va desde el house progressive, hasta el techno. Y en fin.. este set tambien esta dedicado con mucho cariño para Sebastián.

Frank's Mixtape

Después de una prolongada ausencia que en realidad fue como un cambio de "cassette". Un tiempo para explorar o reencontrar otros generos, entre rock, electro rock, disco-punk, finalmente llegué al genero que esta dando duro ultimamente. Es entre Nu Disco, Electroclash, un revival del Italo Disco y de todo el electro beat de finales de los 70's y principios de 80's (sonidos tipo Human League, New Order, Depeche Mode, Eurythmics). Deliciosamente revivido por gente como Little Boots, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, y productores de la talla de los Freemasons o Designer Drugs (de los que quiza abusé un poco en esta ocasión...). Y retomando un concepto nada nuevo, clásico de finales de 70's y 80's... Un Mixtape.

When This World Is Through

Por falta de tiempo no habia podido ver la exposicion de David LaChapelle en el Antiguo Colegio de san Ildefonso. Me encanto y en resumidas cueentas pienso que el tipo es un genio. Tanto en tecnica como en concepto. En este caso solo quiero hablar de una de las piezas que mas me gusto porque me hizo sentir muchas cosas. Que no quiere decir que no hayan habido otras quiza hasta mas complicadas y tal vez mejores. Aqui es un caso de dialogo entre autor-espectador. When this World is Through, parte de una serie que habla de la desolacion, la decadencia y la belleza como parte del juego desolador de la nada. Esta obra fue la que mas se conecto conmigo de toda la exposicion.

Bombastic! Correction

::::::::::: Y debido a algun error en el link no se podia descargar pero ya esta corregido.. muchisimas gracias a RaRiva, y a todos los que se toman la molestia de seguir este blog, abajo el link bueno ::::::
No se que sucede en provincia pero como que toman una cancion y no la sueltan.. jeje. Este set esta dedicado a Kristian, un buen amigo mio de Colima, donde son fan del track Bombastos (que en lo personal no me gusta tanto, que ademas es como sample de otro track original). En memoria de aquel after que parecia sauna que nos obligo a quedarnos en undies, donde ya no sabiamos si le variaban a las canciones o todo era sobre el beat principal de la cancion Stop! (de donde sacaron Bombastos pues!) y de donde salimos dando tumbos sin saber si amanecia o era la tarde... Saludos! (por cierto la foto del playlist estuvo medio rara)
