Frank's B-Day Party

Y finalmente todo esta listo para el big event! La fiesta es este viernes 26 de diciembre a partir de las 9 pm. Tambien ya esta bien organizado lo de los djs. DJ Bola (el mejor dj de Hibrido electro), DJ Frank (su servilleta) y DJ Juan Cedeño hasta morir. Probablemente tambien tengamos un ratito en las tornas a DJ Kindra (sin produccion la chica!!!). La dirección la repito es Havre #68 planta baja en Zona Rosa, entre Liverpool y Marsella y es la calle paralela a Niza. La famosa mansion de Red Hot Party solo que en esta ocasion no es fiesta en underwear ni mucho menos aunque bueno.. aun no se si clausurar el sotano o no..
Lo mas seguro es que habra energeticos, agua y chelas a la venta en 15 pesos y en todo caso hay un 7eleven a menos de una cuadra. No necesitan invitacion ni cover pueden llevar a quien quieran pero eso si.. no quiero gente malvibrosa, el chiste es pasarla chido.

Mezclado especialmente para Miguelito (koblenz)

En esta ocasión este set tuvo varias condicionantes: Incluir 4 canciones muy diferentes entre si, de género mucho mas circuit. Y el resto del set deberia de ser mucho mas electro... y claro, que le gustara a Miguel. Asi que el chiste era hacer que el circuit sonara mas electro y el electro mas housero.. pero creo que la mezcla resulto bastante interesante. Me base en esas 4 canciones y en lo mejor de noviembre del Beatport europeo. Con mucho cariño para Miguelito... y por cierto.. se me olvido meter So sexy.. :(

Hasta el momento tengo en la cabeza la idea de fusionar los sonidos y las armonias muy electro, algo retro como 80's, con ritmos tribal. Con vocales, sin vocales, este set va y viene desde pure drum power hasta el sonido del sintetizador al maximo. Es un ejercicio a mi parecer interesante, pero remember es eso.. un ejercicio. Por cierto, como request para el Lobito, aqui viene el nuevo remix de Cha Cha de Offer Nissim.

Ysa Ferrer es algo asi como la Kylie Minogue de Paris, popera, sofisticadona y bastante popular en estos dias. A pesar de que no es muy conocida de este lado del charco (cosa muy mala porque yo estoy seguro que el futuro del house en America es hacerlo onda mas euro) por ahi me encontre uno de sus tracks de este su ultimo sencillo.
Quiero decirles que no encontre los tracks. Tuve que hacer mil cosas para compilarlos.. buscar, buscar y buscar hasta encontrar un site donde podias escuchar cancion por cancion. Conectar una computadora a la otra y grabarlos uno por uno, convertirlos en aiff, luego en mp3.... en fin.. es en estos momentos cuando agradezco mi adolescencia de nerd.

La canción se me hace de lo mas mono.. con toques como disco 70's y curiosamente todos los remixes me gustaron, hay uno pop, uno medio circuit, uno electro, uno house.. buena cancion.
Y la letra.. asquerosamente cursi.. pero me gusta (hacer el amor es como hacer un mundo para ti, un mundo perfecto cuando estoy en tus brazos)... y no se por que o mas bien por quien.. quien sabe.. pero me gusto mucho. Hope you too.

Como todos saben me llamo Francisco, aunque me bautizaron como Francisco Xavier. De chico me decian Pancho y hasta la universidad, ya despues todos ustedes seguro me conocen como Paco aunque en el messenger insista en que me digan Frank.. nobody does.. jeje

Sencillo que se desprende del disco Heart Shaped World, del año 1989. La canción -una de mis favoritas de toda la vida. Es una de las primeras canciones que recuerdo haber escuchado por ahi que se me quedo en la mente. Solo que varios años mas tarde captaria su significado y que por dramas que pueda parecer, alguna vez la tuve de fondo en algun truene amoroso... Como dato interesante este corte aparece en la pelicula de David Lynch Wild at Heart. Despuès de esta aparicion fue que la rola se convirtio en un hitazo. La canción habla algo asi como de la tipica historia odio-amor, y el video.. bueno recuerdo al guapisimo Chris Isaak en blanco y negro cantando con su look de galan dolido... y que voz. El remake de este año esta mas que fresquecito, es un track que acaba de ser liberado estos dias de octubre y que me costo mucho conseguir pero aqui esta.

Anoche en el Mood (antro buga que esta en Polanco) además de tener que esperar casi 20 minutos afuera fumando con mi mejor amiga, (tambien tuve la oportunidad de constatar lo facil que es ligar hombres en este tipo de lugares) tuvieron el mal gusto de: no saber como se preparaba, ponerle medio limon de adorno y la brillante idea de agregar una cereza con almibar en el fondo.. Y la parte que mas lamento es que justo hoy en la mañana cuando este set ya estaba hecho encontre un remix buenisimo de la cancion de Michael Sembello, Maniac de la pelicula Flashdance... se acuerdan? "She's a maniac, maniac on the floor, and she's dancing like she's never danced before..."

A Bit more of history:
El penultimo track de este set "Tell me Why de Supermode" casi todo mundo lo ubica, esto debido al sample de la cancion Smalltown Boy de la banda britanica Bronski Beat de 1984. La canción era un himno gay de su època y trata acerca de un chavo gay solitario, y un encuentro con la homofobia. Todo un clasico.
